The proven way of teaching high school students French
At Élan French, we offer Academic French and French Conversation and Public Speaking programs that help students improve their grades, test scores and language skills. Our Academic French program has 11 grades, while our French Conversation and Public Speaking program has 4 levels, all of which are designed for students who have different skills and needs.
Both programs are taught during the school year (beginning of September to the end of June). The Academic French program consists of 39 lessons and French Conversation and Public Speaking program consists of 19 classes, both of which include an assessment (test) of student progress every 6 weeks.
Our highly-qualified French instructors are dedicated and determined to help students reach academic excellence, but also gain practical communications skills for the everyday life.
Élan French's Grading System
To ensure our students receive the best French teaching service possible, we use a grading system based on their current French grades at their day school. Our grading system helps us determine the right grade or level to enrol students in our French programs.
For guidance, in the following, we have provided charts for each Ontario's French program that outlines students' grades at their day school and their grades at Élan French.
Ontario Core French Program
